Women's Touch International was founded by Jody Newcomer with the mission of creating a global sisterhood of compassionate women that embrace and empower each other by capturing the essence of balancing the mind, body, and spirit.  The purpose of the retreat is to provide an opportunity to connect with other women and spend a weekend together "recharging our batteries".   The name was inspired by the concept that we feel energized when we spend time with friends plus everything is better with

a woman's touch!

Jody Newcomer is an Assistant Professor of Communications at the York Campus of Harrisburg Area Community College. She enjoys embracing

and empowering others to recognize their talents and increase their confidence. Previously, she was an adjunct instructor at York College of Pennsylvania, Penn State (York and Hazleton campuses), the Art Institute of York, and a facilitator for business and etiquette programs with the Professional Edge.  Upon graduating with a Maser's Degree in Communication Studies from Bloomsburg University, Jody traveled around the world for a year in the Up With People International educational exchange program with 150 students from 20 countries.  For the past 26 years, she has worn many hats with a background in sales, marketing, business, and commercial real estate. Some career highlights include selling the world’s largest shoe called the Haines Shoe House, operating a small mechanical contracting company with her husband Steven called PMS Solutions, and starting a Christian band with her brother Paul called Resolute Light. In her spare time she loves to write, sing, travel, spend time with family and friends, and adores all things Disney.  Based on her experiences, she noticed there was a need to help others improve their personal, social, and professional communication skills so she decided to pursue her passion of teaching beyond a classroom environment.  Through Women's Touch International, Jody hopes to embrace and empower women worldwide and start a positive ripple effect on families while creating a legacy for her two daughters, Sierra and Taylor!
